St Ives is a beautiful and peaceful destination in Cornwall, Southwest England. It’s an old medieval port town and nowadays popular among artists who find the picturesque town as an inspiration for their work. Also, it is a good destination for families and people who are looking for a quiet getaway.


Relax on a beach, surf, eat fresh seafood or take a small cruise on the coast and spot some seals. Porthmeor beach on the other side of the town or Porthminster beach a little further but still within a walking distance, are the best beaches in the area.

See the St Nicholas Chapel on the hill above the town and the art of the Tate St Ives gallery. There are many other tiny galleries around the town as well. Have a walk on the South West Coast Path to admire the landscape.

How to get there?

By car or train. Trains run from London to St Erth where you need to switch to a scenic train to St Ives. Nearest airport is in Newquay.
